this song was written shortly after his friend Andy had taken his own life because Andy has alot of gambling debts and he couldnt see his kids because he was not suitable to be able to see them.

It was about Andy Lewis, the former bass player of the Whitlams, who had a gambling addiction. He was found hanged from the roof of the factory where he worked in late 1999 or early 2000. The Whitlams and other Australian bands held a benefit gig for his wife and daughter a few months later.
