new york dolls influenced that generation and the next hugely.
But sex pistols made one all time great album. And the lyrics meant something.

Yes Punk did start in the USA but personally i'd say that it Came to life when bands like the Sex Pistols formed. And itt just seem's better if it was fully British because i just cant imagine American punks but, Ohh well.
