One of the greatest hits of it's time. Gene Pitney's voice had some of the characteristics of Roy Orbison's voice, both haunting, rich, evocative,and pure. Thanks for posting this.....

I didn't realise Gene only died three years ago... I'm all teary now!
I'm a mere 20 years old, and glad I'm apparently not the only person in this gen to enjoy timeless music like this... still, born way too late indeed! Funnily enough my mum (48) has a weird habit of listening to the latest "hits" at the moment, due to the influence of the young primary school children she teaches... so annoying!
