I'm quite sure he meant Rory Gallagher the blues musician, not the guy from Oasis. Rory was a great guitarist, but I still prefer Clapton to him.

The Marshall stacks make all the difference in the world. It sounds like his playing Gibson hollow-body ES-335. All instruments are so clear - unreal stuff. My brother turned my on to Cream when I was in Jr. High School. He saw them at the Forum 1968. Good old times.
